Happy Monday all!

Here is a reminder that we are meeting tonight at Southwest Library (900 Wesley Pl SW, Washington, DC 20024) at 6 PM for our May Work Session.

Working groups will convene to push their campaigns forward and integrate the feedback from our 6-Month Step Back Conversation earlier this month (see below). 

Would love to see folks there! Especially newer folks looking to plug in and get equipped to unlock Community Wealth in DC.

Step back recap:

Landscape Building: Defining CWB pillars for our network map has gone well! Some discussions needed about what is the scope and purpose of the map, which can inform how we intend to use it and what it should look like. For example, is it for public or private use within the coalition? Or both? And where is there room for a discussion of values alignment as we map groups

Public Education: We did a great job presenting about CWB at our Community Briefing and to other groups. We have a good formula for how we talk about the vision and meaning of CWB. Need to scale up by building a communications/social media strategy and a team of folks who can present the vision and strategy of the coalition.

Legislative Advocacy: We are on track to hit our goal of 25 testifiers for CWB asks this budget season! Fantastic job to everyone who has participated so far. Still need to work on relationship building with Councilmembers and their offices and can use more folks to help with advocacy meetings and strategizing.
