Hi folks! Happy Sunday. 

Thank you everyone who was able to attend our Coalition Meeting on Friday. It was great to see so many folks, new faces and long-time collaborators alike. Here is a summary of what we covered and next steps.

We spent a bit of time sharing feedback on the Community Wealth Building Day. I would normally prefer to do a deeper debrief, but with all we needed to cover and get moving, we decided to keep it short. However, If you would like to share a highlight, a suggestion for things we could change or do better, or a learning that we can consider for next time, please add it to this document. We would love to hear from you! We also spent time reviewing the goals we named at the Strategy Session, then we had a great discussion about a model to frame the integration of our three working groups. Please find the notes describing that model in our agenda doc here. I think the main feedback we heard was to think of our structure more like a circle than a hierarchy to have equal emphasis on our three areas of work. This feedback is great and we will continue to think about this collectively. I think the main point we should consider is how to frame the work of each working group so that it's integrated with that of the other groups, and how can we make the coalition self-sustaining.  

Thanks again to everyone who contributed to these discussions! Lastly, here is a short review of what to expect over the next few weeks:

• 11/3-11/17: Working Group leaders will call follow up with attendees by phone to begin recruiting for working groups. If you would like to participate in a consistent capacity to help us achieve our goals above, please let us know and tell us what working group you're interested in!

• 11/17 Work Session (Mon, 11/17, 6pm at Southwest Library): We will do skill mapping (surveying folk’s strengths and gaps as leaders), discuss first steps to achieve the goals of each working group, and pair collaborators to have one to one meetings based on the skill survey to compliment each other and build relationship. We would love to see as many folks join us at Southwest Library as possible! Please let me know if you plan to make it.

• 11/17-12/15: Working Group leaders will recruit a newer coalition member to co-lead alongside them. Let me know if you would be interested in helping in this capacity. We need folks to step up to make this work sustainable.

• 11/17-12/15: Co-leads will guide working groups in creating campaign timelines and meeting structures with Abi’s support

I hope to see you at our in person work session at 6pm on the 17th! This will be an accessible space for folks that are new as well as those who have been around for a while.
