DCC Southern Under 3 trips - events for the rest of 2017

Under 3 trips for the rest of 2017 are as follows:

• Sun,Oct 8^th – Huon River with a nice level of water. Expect freezing water but warm air.
• Sun, Nov 12^th – replaced by a Level 1 rescue course at Broken Bridge squarely aimed at beginner paddlers.

Register at: http://tas.canoe.org.au/whitewater-river-rescue-1/. Entries close Oct 30^th.

This was booked out last year so don’t delay in registering.

• Sun, Dec 17^th – Derwent River : Gretna to Broken Bridge finishing up at the DCC Christmas BBQ.

(2018 events will kick off on the 2^nd Sunday in February)

Hi all,

Just a reminder the next Under 3 tip is scheduled for this Sunday Oct 8^th (http://derwent.canoe.org.au/southern-under-3-river-trips/).

With a bit of rain falling on Thu-Fri and  reasonable weather window Sunday (23deg) we’ll probably do the Huon River from Tahune down to Southwood or the Weld River from the top scrub bash down to the Weld Bridge.

 Expect 8-10km of easy Grade 2 water.

 Let me know by Friday night if you are interested so I can fine tune the trip and get helpers if necessary.

 Meet Huonville at the DS café 9am.
