Sounds good. I believe it is pool drop in nature and that it is
possible to portage anything I don't like the look of? i.e. Gr 4+.

I can be off on Thurs/Fri.

Hi Kris

I'd be very keen. Only problem is I'd wondering if the water would be
too low? We haven't had much rain over the last 2 months.

cheers

Except Strathgordon is at the bottom of the river not the top!

Looks like there was 35mm for the week at Butlers Gorge, which is
around the headwaters of the Gordon, can't work out if any of the
other guages would be closer. Any ideas on flow Kris? Anyone have
access to the Hydro data?

And Jocelyn, it's closer to class 4 than class 3, although it's quite
mellow at the right flows. Very very low it's full of sieves and very
very high it's pretty full on, although I'm pretty sure that won't be
a problem!

A combination of Derwent Bridge/Lake St Clair, Butlers, Queenstown and Strathgordon and even Maydena should give a reasonable indication of rainfall in the Gordon Gorge catchment.

Thanks for the info Harry. I think it might be abit full on for me
(having re read it all - and seen the distance) but I am keen for
anythimg else that is more Gr 3ish (like the Mersy) another time. Good
luck anyway . I hope the levels are good. Jocelyn
