Is anyone interested in setting up a guest bartending night? We've
guest bartended at Deacon Brodies before (in Hells Kitchen) and it's
always a really fun time.

The boss's name is Dave and he's great. They have guest bardending on
Thursday nights. You call and reserve the date, invite ALL your
friends, serve drinks and split the tips however you'd like. In the
past, we split the tips evenly between the planners because sometimes
one person brings a lot of friends and mingles while others work
behind the bar. It works best this way.

TELL US if you're planning on having one, here or at another location,
so we can send the info to our list as well :).

I am completely up for guest bartending! One question: must we know
how to make drinks? I figure this is a skill we should bring to the
night, not learn on the job...?!

At Deacon Brodies, it's mainly just pouring beers, and the bartender,
Dave, helps with the more complicated drinks. If you decide you're
going to do a Bartending night, I would be happy to enlist some
bartender friends if no one feels confident in their drink mixing- I
sure don't know what goes into every kind of apple-tini!

But, surely there's someone in the group who has some experience :)

ooooh i would be so up for it!

AND I am having a cabaret party in early April! I am just waiting on a date confirmation with the venue, but I am excited about enlisting my friends' talents and spreading the word! I will let you know as soon as the details are solid so you can put out the word!

yippee!!!

yes!  me too.  I'm up for anything.  I also have no experience bartending, but will gladly do anything I can.  can't wait to meet all of you in person!
