T-Shirts, Next Year, and Survey

Hey everyone so I just wanted to give you a heads up on next year in advance, this is the longest email I will ever write  :) So next year is obviously going to be incredible and finally the first year of good snow since I have been on the team! I am stoked to be president and have a lot of fun plans! I really think since SOS has been growing every year I am going to need every team members help in recruiting and making next year the best one yet!

Recruiting: I thought I would share the recruiting strategy we started last year and are going to push this year so if you are recruiting or talking to freshman tell them this:

• DASS is freaking awesome.
  
• We have racers, but it is in no way mandatory to race although it is fun to try it once.
  
• We have a cabin you get to use for 5 months unlimited.
• We have fun partying and can drink, but drinking is never required to have fun at our parties.
• We are a smaller group than SOS but it means making good friends that you will be able to ski/snowboard with years after you graduate.
• We have incredible coaches that will make you damn good and next year we are going to focus on all mountain, racing, and park.

Fun Stuff For Next Year: 

T-Shirts: Since Harry did so awesome at bringing the team back from debt and saving some money for this year your new team t-shirts will be free this year and we want to get them done so you get it when you pay dues. Say thank you Harry :)

We need T-Shirt Designs pronto. I want something awesome that competes with SOS this year and I want them bright! Because we are selling them to Alumni and we have to get them approved by Sports Clubs here are the requirements:

• Says "UC Davis Ski and Snowboard Team" on them clearly.
• Cool and really clear design that is appropriate, preferably having something to do with a skier and snowboarder. 
• The shirts are going to be some kind of neon yellow, green, pink or something bright(voted on later). 

We will do the designs anonymously this year and you need to email them to me by SEPTEMBER 1st so I can get them approved and everything! Please try to come up with something, you have two months of sitting around to sketch something out! 

Training/Park:

Next year I am going to put a focus on getting the team completely together for a couple days of skiing/boarding, whether it be everyone spending an hour together in the park cheering each other on to try new tricks or just heading up lincoln and racing to the bottom. 

I want to try to do a day at Woodward for cheap but I still have to find out more information on all of that. 

I also want to do a few days next year where skiers and snowboarders try the park together with the coaches. Everyone can try new tricks whether it be a 360 or doing the jump for the first time! 

There are a few more things but I will wait until Fall to work on them. I have a survey that would SERIOUSLY help us out this year! Please fill it out, it is like 6 questions that are check off!!!
