Good morning/afternoon/evening

This morning I contemplated the early stages of the DARnet barn
raising and identified some challenges.

The intended sections of potential participants are really folk who
are concerned with Communities of Practice and Action Research folk.
For some, there will be quite a high barrier to understanding how the
wiki can function, both technically and socially. I think it's also
compacting the obscurity a little by having the exhibition on the blog
and the wiki barn raising at the same time, rather than synergising as
I had hoped.

So I've begun to act upon that realisation, to try and remove a few
complications and improve the possibility of participation. As well
as some streamlining, I've taken up Giorgio's suggestion for a MacNiff
style "Action Research Coffee Shop", which is now linked to from
main navigation on the left, and added the 'Four dichotomies' digram
as an artefact for consideration.

The ice breaker task is simply this:

1) Have another look at the Four Dichotomies presented on the wiki page here:

http://distributedresearch.net/wiki/index.php/Four_dichotomies

2) It helps if you create an account and log in berfore making your
comment. The link for that is at the very top and the right hand side,
text which reads "Create an account or log in"

3) From the 4 dichotomies page, click on the "discussion" tab, just
above the page title, next to "article" "edit" and "history"

4) I see Linda has already made some comments, please add your score
and comments on the same page, by clicking "edit" or "+" Edit
allows you to change anything on the page, "+" inserts your writing
add the bottom.

5) Preview, then save.

Any problems just shout.

I thought the ice breaker activity was very worthwhile so now I've
added an artefact of my own for critique and to possibly start
discussions on the importance of assumptions and beliefs to action
researchers:

2) Due to Spambots you have to now create an account and log in

berfore making your
comment. The link for that is at the very top and the right hand side,
text which reads "Create an account or log in"

3) From the Value Informed Life page, click on the "discussion" tab, just

above the page title, next to "article" "edit" and "history"

4)please add your comments by clicking "edit" or "+" Edit

allows you to change anything on the page, "+" inserts your writing

at the bottom.
5) Preview, then save.
