Hey everyone!
So this is going to be a really dense e-mail with a lot of information. Please read through it and tell your friends about upcoming events!
WARNING: this is going to be a really long e-mail. Key Club can not be held responsible for loss of vision, nagging parents, procrastination, or lack of sleep.
Granada Hills Street Faire
When: Saturday, October 3rd
10AM - 5PM
Where: 17723 Chatsworth St.
Granada Hills, CA 91344
Who: D25E Key Club! Invite friends and family to come enjoy the fair!
What: Key Clubbers will either be manning barricades, assisting with maintenance, or helping out at the Key Club booth! That's right, we have our own booth! We'll be selling food as a fundraiser, so come help out and support!
Skateland Fundraiser
When: Saturday, October 3rd
7:30 - 11:00PM
Where: 18140 Parthenia St.
Northridge, CA 91325
Who: D25E Key Club! Also, bring lots of friends! More people = more fun.
What: Come join the Granada Hills Key Club at Skateland for a fun-filled night. Admission is only $13.50 (this includes skates) or just $9 if you have your own skates (and bring them of course).
D25E T-Shirts
The design for this year's Division 25E Key Club shirt has been chosen! The images have been attached (use your imagination for which one's the front and which one's the back). A cooperative effort by Anthony from Van Nuys and Grace from Cleveland, this will be the official D25E shirt for this year. At only $10, this shirt not only looks great, but is a great deal as well! (can you believe that my senior shirt is $15???)
Please place a pre-order with your club President by October 17th. That is the absolute deadline. IF you do not pre-order a shirt and still want one, I might order a few extras, but don't count on it. Also, any extra shirts will be priced at $12 as opposed to the $10 pre-order price, so please please please pre-order a shirt if you want one.
Fall Rally
FALL RALLY SOUTH!!!!
This year, Fall Rally South is on Saturday, November 14th, from 10:30AM to 6:00PM. Admission is only $25 or, if you have a season pass, only $5 for a rally wristband. A rally wristband? That's right! As always, Fall Rally South is at Six Flags Magic Mountain. All D25E Key Clubbers, friends, and family are welcome to join us for a day of fun and fundraising! Not only will you go into a rally with thousands of Key Clubbers from all around Southern California and Hawaii (read: cute Hawaiian girls!), but you'll also take part in an Lieutenant Governor auction and have the entire day to have fun at Six Flags!
Pre-orders for Fall Rally must be RECEIVED by October 24th.
But what would Fall Rally be without....
Spirit Packs!!!
Remember last year? Spirit packs had a whistle, a green bandana, green thundersticks, and a couple of glowsticks.
Well guess what?!? The spirit packs have been COMPLETELY changed up this year! We'll be repping green and black koalas with...
- 1 black bandana
- 1 green metal whistle
- 1 black wrist sweatband
- 1 pair of green shuttershades
- 1 green baseball cap
- 2 green thundersticks with D25E KEY CLUB in white
Wait. So a bandana should be like $1. A whistle, maybe $1. A sweatband? Another $1. Shuttershades? That has to be at least $6. Baseball cap should be another $5 or so, right? And thundersticks would be maybe $4? So what's that, $18? Sounds good to me.
NOT!
This year's Spirit Pack will only be $10!! All orders will be due October 17th, and money will be collected on October 24th!
BUT WAIT! SPECIAL OFFER!
If you place a pre-order with your Club President by October 10th, you can get both the spirit pack AND the t-shirt for $15. This means that the price of the shirt and the spirit pack has NOT changed since the past three years, even though you're getting SO MUCH MORE. But this ONLY applies if you pre-order both the shirt and the spirit pack. You must give both the order and the money to your club President to give to me on the 10th.
Soooooo...home stretch now! Really, I promise this is the end...
For October, we'll be having TWO DCMs. Why two? Well, a critical part of Fall Rally other than looking cool is having SPIRIT AND CHEERS. We'll be working on this by having DCMs more geared towards cheering and making cheers than to giving out information. So come to the DCMs! They won't be information packed, instead we'll be having fun and cheering!

I still need more people! I'll be on stage during Fall Rally, so we need a spirit committee to get everything together! I'm looking for 6 more members, one of whom will be the Spirit Chair.
Basically, this is how it'll work. Each member of the committee (including the chair) will have a cheering group. The chair will choose a cheer, relay it to the members of the committee, and then each committee member will lead their group to do the cheer. If it works as planned, we'll win! If not...Plan B!
