Subject: Signature alarm + a
letter from Switzerland
Dear friends,
After several weeks of growth at increasing speed, the signature collection has now slowed down quite badly.
In this moment, considering the 8hours website, Change, Firmiamo and some signatures ready to be uploaded (arrived to the Animals' Angels Office), we have 652,288 signatures.
It was predictable that at the end of August extra signatures came in (some old forms had the 1 September deadline), but the campaign is still on, and the millionth signature not that far.
The 700,000-signature target of the September challenge seems hard to achieve, but we've seen sudden growths before, and this surely can happen again.
Would you consider sending another email to your supporters this week?
Also, please plan some activities to collect signatures in the coming weeks. I know that some of you are already organising stalls and other activities, but help from more groups is really needed.
Think about that: when we reach the millionth signature I will stop sending you these annoying chasing messages. Isn't this a great incentive?
Last but not least, attached you find a letter from NetAp's president, Esther Geisser, to all organisations that support 8hours. Although Switzerland is not part of the EU, NetAp has committed itself to 8hours' success in an admirable way. In this moment, Switzerland has over 18,000 signatures, i.e. over what its target would have been if it was an EU country. Please read Esther's letter and feel free to get back to her about it: in...@netap.ch
Let's all have a great week for the animals.
Thank you
Adolfo
