to Currier and Ives Scenic Byway Committee
Hello everyone,

Thanks to all who attended last night's meeting. We made good progress
on the goals and objectives for the Corridor Management Plan. I will
put together a draft plan for our next meeting in December for your
review.

For anyone who is interested, Ken Erikson will lead a tour of the West
Henniker Historic Paper Mill site on Monday, November 9th at 1:00pm.
The site is on Western Avenue, west of downtown Henniker just before
the road crosses the Contoocook River. Ken heads up a group that is
endeavoring to restore the historic site with walking paths and
interpretive materials. This is a project we could potentially seek
Byways funding for.

Also, the John Stark Byway Council will be meeting to discuss their
marketing plan on Tuesday, November 10th at 7:00pm at the Southern NH
Regional Planning Commission at 438 Dubuque St., Manchester, NH. For a
map and directions, visit www.snhpc.org. If anyone would like to
attend to hear about how another Byway group is promoting their route,
this would be a good opportunity.

Let's continue to communicate via email about our idea to submit a
letter of intent for a marketing/communications plan including a
website and kiosks along the Byway. Dave White will research kiosk
costs and Kate Bartlet will send information about website
construction costs. Folks will need to communicate to their town
administrators or Selectmen to sign the letter of intent next week.

Please let me know if you have questions or need directions to the
events next week.

Enjoy your weekend,

Vanessa
