Celebrate Earth Day/Week at STAR Eco Station on April 19, from 10-4 Star Eco Station is a super cool place, with lots of community booths and discounted entry fees to see the dozens of endangered animals they care for. Bike in and avoid the parking headache. CCBC is looking for volunteers to help host our outreach booth. If you are interested, please contact me directly.
May is Bike Month. Look for upcoming activities throughout the LA area. Take advantage and spread the word. The region is making great progress and Culver City is proud to be part of the growing movement. A couple of key dates:
May 3: The Culver City Walk & Rollers Walk 'n Roll Festival to teach Culver City students essential bike safety skills. This is part of the city-wide Safe Routes to School Program to encourage more kids to walk, bike, skate, scoot or carpool to school more often. The event will be at El Marino Language School this year from 9-1. Skill stations, community booths, kid activities and more.
