Coin Feed Issue

I’ve been working on my crow box the last couple weeks and was testing things out today and noticed an issue with the coin feed mechanism.

When hooked up to the server and rotor, the lid doesn’t seem to move back far enough for the coin pushers to get all the way behind the quarter. When I manually tested it worked fine but I was able to pull the lid back far enough. Now the coin pushers only get under the coin and not behind it so there’s not enough force to pull the coin out.

I also had to add 4 layers of styrene to the back to keep the quarters from jamming back there as well.

Looking for any ideas or tips on resolving this issue. Below are some photos and a link to a video showing the problem. Thanks!

Here’s another video showing what happens with 2 coins in it.

This is likely due to uneven plexi. A couple years ago plexi supplies (which have to be within certain tolerances) started pushing the limits of those tolerances, and now are often quite different thicknesses. Future designs are supposed to address the problem, but for now some people have to sand down (or in your case beef up) key components, such as the coin pusher. Sorry you're suffering from this, and thanks for sharing your solution with the community!!

After a lot of sanding and taping I think I've got it working decently. Had to sand down the coin pushers quite a bit, past the slot they glue into and also had to bulk up the coin magazine both in the back to prevent points from pulling through the back and also had to add some tape to build it out inside to keep the coins from going all the way to the back.
