Hello,

Just finished my wiring and am testing phase 1. I've initiated this by both hitting the Arduino reset, as well as connecting the power. The lid opens, then incrementally closes. However, it does not re-open. I've checked my wiring, and it all appears correct.

What should I check next?

Here is a video of the phase 1 sequence. https://youtu.be/Zf7_wemc3iE

Unsure based on what I see there.  Have you tried cycling through all the phases (pressure sensitive, coin activation) and do those work appropriately?
And when you unplug from the power source and replug it back in, does it go through the opening/closing sequence again?

Thank you for the very quick response. I figured it out, I think I wasn't actually in phase 1yet (I had not pressed the phase change button), once I pressed the phase button the lid opened. I was able to cycle through the phases successfully after that.

So I guess this behavior is a pre-phase 1default behavior? Does the phase reset to default settings on power disconnect?

Glad to hear it!

I think when I swap batteries, it stays on the last phase I was using....

Tony,
Pressing the button on the Arduino Uno R3 is just hitting the reset line: it immediately stops whatever CrOS is doing and restarts the program from the beginning (setup() runs again, then loop()). The firmware, EEPROM data, and your phase settings/wiring are unchanged, so it’s effectively the same as briefly power-cycling the CrowBox to get it out of a weird state.
It will stay in the same phase (EEPROM data is not wiped).
Thanks,
MK
