A new season has begun, it is the work you do now that will determine your success in the coming year.  For everyone it is time to begin work out, For senior or elite skaters it is time begin a good aerobic training program if you have not already done so.  For children 10 and under riding your bike, playing and trips to the playground are sufficient.  For skaters 10-13 aerobic training should be 3-4, 15 to 30 minute sessions per week, 15 minutes of running or 30 minutes on a bicycle or other work out machine, this along with technicords, dry land training and exercise.  A wide variety is recommended.

For Skaters 14 and older 30 minutes of running or 1 hour of bicycle or other aerobic training machine 5 times a week is in order, 1 hour of dryland training is also recommended.  Please see Coach Patrick or myself.

We have skating on Saturdays at 10:15, everyone should try to make practice every 2-3 weeks minimum to keep their skate skills up, any public sessions would also be encouraged.

Remember if you have not signed up for US Speedskating for this year your membership has lapsed.  As such if you skate with the club you are not covered under US Speedskating insurance and neither is the club.  If you come to practice not being a member you are skating a pickup session at the rink and not participating one of our practices.  You may still come skate because this is a rink pickup session.

Don't forget the summer Camp Aug 2-5, this is a great way to get in shape for the upcoming season please see our site for details.
