I will not be able to make the calls tonight. The day job calls!
Decisions made:
-Agreed that we will organize as an 'organization committee', as
opposed to a single person.
-Agreed to keep this Sat meeting only to the folks currently
'registered' at this time, important to develop a professional,
organized, and structured presence to move forward.
-Agreed we will setup a new eventbrite for a camp of 01/30 (Benji),
and benji will update the CC wiki, for actual Camp registration
-Status: Wiki chicago up and running, and will be used for task
tracking and management of efforts, google groups for general
discussions
-Status:We didn't have a preference on Saturday start/end times, to be
based on coordination with other city camps.
-Agreed to go ahead with press-release for now in 2 phases (initial
communication, and camp accomplishments), and contact of media: Deb to
transition Erinn..
-Status ok: facebook, twitter, google groups.
-Agreed we will all indivually use the Joel-style template for our
personal recruitment.
-Status: Deb waiting for confirmation of linked-in subgroup, and also
confirmation of official registration with crisis common of the
chicago 'group'.
Short-term Next Steps:
-Erinn to post press-release for feedback, and plan for media
distribution.
-Erinn/Benji to coordinate a 'press/media release' section of the Wiki
-Deb to coordinate with Susan on ITA on Venue. *Update: I have 10:00
mtg with DePaul Dean, facilities guy and security guy, so should know
by AM, will send email.
-Benji to try to coordinate with DC camp on our ability to check-in
remotely for the 'camp'
-Decide Fri on Saturday time to meet since we were all flexible.
-Susan to contact alderman on possible hatian IT coordination
-All begin to think about project ideas, participation, possibilities,
etc...also based on our attendance to the
-Everyone: Get on main wiki and read doc on 'running a hackathon', and
'starting a crisis camp'.
-Everyone: Encourage everyone here to also get up on irc and the wiki
(new) and the register with eventbrite, facebook, linkedin(when up) if
you are on these.
-ONE THING I FORGOT TO MENTION, for next call: Think about how we
coordinate a consistent message across these various channels, with
regard to links, messages, branding, etc.
-Susan to work to coordinate camp supplies (post-its, markers, name
tags)
