to Crestliner Dane
I finished up laying in the foam into those two back cells as well as
along the sides of the boat and underneth the kick board base board. I
have about 2'x4' of foam left that I could use somewhere if I had to
but the foam is done.

With the foam done and the deck boards water treated Lucas and I
installed them with self tapping sheet metal screws first every 8" or
so and then put in another screw in the middle for those high traffic
and other areas where I felt they where needed. I still have some
screws left that I will use once I see how the weather treats the board
expansion.

When I was just about done with the deck boards I noticed that there is
another spot in the boat where I could make deck boards if I really
wanted to. The keck board opens up and there is a storage compartment
underneeth. Previously Crestliner did have a deck board here and
assuming I have any carpet left I will make one as well. If I dont
have the carpet left I wont even bother making it.

With the deck boards all in place (minus the one mentioned above), I
started installing the carpet. This was rather easy since I pre cut
the carpet in the basement using the deck boards as a jig, just 1"
extra on both sides and the carpet slide right into place. using 1"
wood screws I attached the carpet simular to how the deck boards where
installed. Every so many inches I put in a screw and attempted to stay
away from the sheet metal when I knew I was close to it.

With the carpet in I took the self tapping screws and attached the
front of the carpet every 4" to the boat ensuring it wont move where
the end seem is. There is only one piece of carpet for the entire boat
floor.

After the deck kick boards where installed they to where carpeted just
as above. I will need to take a hand grinder to grind of the extra
screws showing out from the bottom of the wood.

I'm adding one extra piece of wood to the design of the boat in front
tha tcrestliner did not have and that is a cover piece for the sterring
column and fuel tank. This will seal of the electrial from the crew
part of the boat. This is done by taking the board in front of the
fuel tank and hindgint it to another wood deck board cut to fit in the
gap. This can be seen better in image picture010. The board that is
not carpeted in the board infront of the fuel tank and will be he base
of the other hundged board.

With the carpet installed and looking for other things to do I
installed the fishing pool storage bin and arm rest on the left side of
the boat. This went pretty quick and looks good.
