to Little Miss Know it All's Crazy Coupon Deals!
For the past few weeks Meijer's has had whole roasting chickens for .
69 a pound. Add Kroger to the list this week--they are offering the
Tyson fryers for .69 a lb. That's a stock up price! When it goes
down that cheap, I'll buy four or more! Freeze them--these are great
go-to meals! As a comparison, whole chicken is usually between .99
and 1.29 a pound. These are 3-4 lb birds, meaning they are about $3-
$4 for a whole chicken.
Now for the big deal--Kraft cheese at Kroger. Last year they ran a
similar deal and I bought enough cheese to last a year. It was my
first foray into stockpiling--and it worked. I am just now finishing
off the last bars of Cheddar cheese! (cheese freezes!) Kroger has
Kraft cheeses 2 for $4. Buy 9 participating Kraft products and
receive $6 off your total order. This is bagged, shredded, bar or
slices of Kraft cheese. There are several versions of this deal I
will post. The ad says its limit two $6 discounts per transaction.
Simplest (good savings but not best):
Buy 9 bars/bags/slices of cheese @ 2/$4.
Pay $12 after instant discount. That's $1.33 a package of cheese.
Best:
Buy 9 bars/bags/slices of cheese @ 2/$4.
Use various Kraft coupons from the paper--.40 off 2 (doubled at Kroger
to .80)
Pay $8.80 for 9 cheeses. That's less than $1 a bar.
Or
Buy 10 bars/bags/slices of cheese, use 5 of the .40 off 2 coupon from
the paper, and pay $10 for 10 cheeses.
Last option, Nabisco crackers are also on sale 2 for $4 and are a part
of the Kraft discount/sale. Buy 5 cheeses, 4 Nabisco crackers, and
use various coupons from the paper and other places (Internet
printables from the past, ebay, etc) and save a good deal more. There
were coupons in the paper a few weeks back for buy 1 kraft cheese and
1 nabisco cracker and receive $1 off. If you had five of those from
ebay/papers:
Buy 5 cheeses, 5 crackers, pay $20. Use 5 coupons, plus Kraft
discount, pay $9.
I know where I'm headed today!
(remember you can buy coupons on ebay really cheap--for example, 20 of
the kraft cheese coupons will cost you $2--but save you $16. 15 of
the cracker/cheese coupons will run you about $1.50, but save you
$15.)
