World Juniors Ultimate Championships at Devens THIS WEEK

Next week is Junior Worlds at Devens!
(take route 2 west of Boston to exit 37B/ Jackson Road and follow signs)
Worlds is Monday the 14th through Friday the 18th. The tournament is
FREE. There are bleachers on the main field for spectators.
The Opening Ceremony is Sunday the 13th at the Devens fields at 5pm.
The teams (Australia, Canada, Colombia, Finland, Great Britain,
Israel, Sweden, USA) will be there and Steve Mooney is scheduled to
give a welcoming speech at 5:30pm.
USA and Canada tangle a few times in pool play during the week and
they have a good chance of meeting in the finals. Should be great
games! Here is a partial schedule:
Monday, Aug 14:
USA vs. CANADA (Women) on Field 3 at 3:30pm.
Tuesday, Aug 15:
USA vs. CANADA (Open) on Field 3 at 3:30pm.
Wednesday Aug 16:
USA vs. CANADA (Women) on Field 1 at 9am
Showcase Games: DoG vs Metal and Brute Squad/Godiva team scrimmage at
6:30pm
Thursday, Aug 17:
SEMIFINALS (Both divisions) from 10:00am to 2:45pm
Friday, Aug 18
OPEN GOLD MEDAL GAME on Field 1 at 11:00am
WOMEN GOLD MEDAL GAME on Field 1 at 2:15pm
Team USA Junior Open has six players from Massachusetts and Team USA
Junior Women has five, so you'll probably be seeing some of the great
Boston players of the near future.
