Hi all

I visited Roots Coffee House (http://www.rootscoffeehouse.com/) in
North Richland Hills this afternoon and think it would make a great
spot for the next Jelly. They have a table in the back that seats 8-10
that can be reserved, free wi-fi, ample seating, as well as lots of
coffee and food to partake in. I talked to one of the employees and
she said they don't mind if people come with laptops and stay the day.
That's why that table is so great! They don't allow outside food or
bev, so we'd all have to be willing to purchase some items, I think,
throughout the day.

We've also talked about changing up the day. There was talk about next
Wednesday, but I was wondering what about doing it on Monday? There's
the FW startup happy hour that's going on that evening so we could all
head over to The Flying Saucer after. It could be Monday's are bad for
people, so let me know.

Thoughts? I'd love your feedback because I'd like to start telling
people the time, date, and place since it's a little sooner than later
(not on next Friday) this time. And to also reserve the table.

I think having it inline with a tweetup is the way to go... And since
this is the Fort Worth Startup Happy Hour, it even makes topical
sense...

Get some car pooling in, to help with our carbon footprint :)

Hey, carbon footprint! Thanks Jake, I've finally found a decent alternative to saying "Can I get a ride? I'm broke."

Haha!

I know some of us live kinda close to Travis's house. If y'all want to meet up here we can carpool over to Roots. I'm happy to drive.

The only downside to doing a Jelly in NRH and then HH in downtown FW is there will be semi-bad to super-bad traffic most likely... My recommendation (for the same day as the Startup HH), would be to find a place in Downtown. Previously, I had held a couple Jellies at Billy Miner's and it seemed to work out OK in their back room (free wifi, tons of tables, decent lunch if you want to buy something).

I'm totally open to Roots, it sounds like a great place.. was just thinking about the traffic issue..
