East Coast Swing I Classes (Singles/Couples)
Have you always wanted to learn to dance? Fulfill that New Year's resolution with a 7 week series of easy paced swing dances for only $10 per class!

When: Thursdays from 8:10pm-9:10pm
Cost: 7 classes cost $70/per person
Location: Girl's Inc gym (600 New York Ave, Arlington 76010)
Classes offered through UTA Continuing Education Department, open to all

In seven weeks, increase your activity, improve your balance and coordination, meet new people, and learn about a great American art form: Swing Dance! Boogie and bop while learning 1930s and 1940s style American East Coast Swing Dance (single and triple time). We will build a foundation in technique, frame and connection, and partnership skills so you can apply these principles to any partner dance you learn. We will discuss the music that compliments each dance and watch video clips of each swing dance form.
The instructors, Jerry Smith and Helen Dulac have been teaching together four and a half years and have 12 years combined experience in dance. They also teach for the Fort Worth Swing Dance Syndicate and the Dallas Swing Dance Society.

FWSDS, ACME Swing Co., and the Ft Worth Jitterbugs will be on the Dance Place Stage from 1:30-2:30pm on Saturday, Jan 26. We will offer a short lesson, historical demonstrations, routines and jam circles. Come out to support us or bring your friends to experience the fun of swing dancing!
