I am taking the liberty of sharing my thoughts frankly and insisting
on some follow up actions, now that we know each other and I see a
firm commitment in you both, to work on yourselves. I am doing my job
as the teacher you picked.

1.
You practiced the segment mode (B) for 20 minutes. I could see
Jagadish's fingers being idle for some periods, as he temporarily went
to sleep. His body was also twitching some times, may be because his
tense muscles were getting released.

I did not see any visible impact on Shalloo. I feel she needs to
practice for longer periods of 45 - 60 minutes, a few times, to let
her muscles fully relax and go limp. This will set a relaxation bench
mark in her own mind. Having tasted such a wonderful state a few
times, she will be motivated to reach for that state again and again.
I suggest she practice the same mode lying in bed, when she needs to
sleep, every day and give feedback in the next class.

2.
The following analysis is not to be taken personally by Shalloo. I was
in such a state up to the age of 56. Her comment serves only as a
trigger for introspection by all of us. This is the reason for my
initiation of the counting letter 'a' exercise.

Shalloo made a comment about her not posting her feedback "I am lazy"
matter of factly. On analysis, I find that this is a synthesis of the
following underlying statements -
- So far I have been lazy in such matters
- I have decided to continue my lazy habit in such matters
- I do not see any reason why I should change my lazy habit in such
matters in future as well

Such a commitment to the status quo is a common negative thinking mode
in all of us. It is only by practicing for extended periods in one of
the modes, this entrenched tendency will gradually get weakened. It
may take months or years but I can guarantee it can be achieved. It is
our job as the owner of minds to train them to our requirement, just
as we train our pet dogs to behave appropriately. We can change the
dog and get another one but there is no way we can discard the mind
and get a new one. We can only work on it all our life.

To support her in getting over the habit, I am insisting that she
make a posting at least once in 3 days, if she want to continue the
classes (obviously I am trying to provoke!).

3.
Please do take a picture of only your face by tomorrow, like the
photos in the 'Unique Method' page of the web site. Just to make sure
this is done, please e-mail me your photo.

I am happy we are biting into the difficult task. Good Luck!
