I got a reject on this as  am no longer allowed to post -- but in case you all didn't know ---

I noticed that there was a post on the NCRS Board about the passing of John Hinckley.  After a lengthy illness, he passed away on 22 June.

Over the years, John had posted thousands of wise and knowledgeable comments on the CRPL -- you could always count on him to answer any and all questions about early Corvettes -- and, even better he always had the right answer.

John was the guest speaker at the SACC National Convention in ST Charles a couple of years back and I had talked with him a number of times through e-mail -- "he was a fine feller!"

John was indeed a class act and a font of information…accurate information and freely given…
