As mailed a couple of weeks ago, the bounces from AOL, Yahoo, and Verizon have continued but the efforts to contact them to correct this have gone unanswered. :(
As much as I hate to suggest this, the only option for those users is to sign up on the Google Groups page that was setup in 2015:
I'm actively trying to work up a way to "merge" the two email lists, but this is exactly the sort of action that Google (and most mailing list providers) work to avoid for reasons.
Until then, if you're an AOL, Yahoo, or Verizon email user please use the Groups page. It does have some benefits in that it has a good search feature (it is after all a Google offering), and the ability to include photos and other non-text attachments in the group messages is well supported.
Thanks again for all the great conversations in the past and yet to come! This group has been beyond 'easy' to moderate since I took over the role many years ago - you're all a wealth of knowledge and experience about the Corvette and our hobby and I'd really hate to lose this group due to some technical/business decisions out of our control.
Thank you, and I hope you have a Happy Fathers Day all!
Dan
Over the past few weeks I've noticed that the mailing list server
has noticed a lot of bounces to @AOL.com, @Yahoo.com, and @Verizon.com email addresses.
I just sent this email (below) to the CRPL mailing list address, and I'm sending this to a number of folks (BCC'd) who were on the "bounce" list mentioned.
If you receive BOTH of these emails, I'd like to know - I suspect you won't and would be happy if you did. (And sorry for the additional emails!)
Thank you,
Dan
Original email to CRPL list:
Over the past few weeks I've noticed that the mailing list server
has noticed a lot of bounces to @AOL.com and @Yahoo.com addresses.
I
suspect that someone wanted to leave the list and instead of
unsubscribing they used the "mark as spam" option and has flagged our
CRPL mailing list as "spam". (Both AOL and Yahoo are owned by Verizon
so probably share spam filters.)
If anyone
receives this who *is* on AOL or Yahoo, please take the time to look if
there is a way to flag it as "not spam" to help ensure you can continue
to receive emails.
Thanks!
Dan
