What is Value Proposition Innovation?
Simply put, it looks at ways of adding value to the customer's
perception of a product, whether that value is implied or actual.
How does a company perform Value Proposition Innovation?
Many companies have products that have become commoditized and rather
than accepting this assumption, the way forward is to challenge this
assumption. How the best companies have done this has been to look for
ways to add additional value onto the base product. Such value should
differentiate a company from its competitors and, in turn, justify a
higher price point or trigger an increased volume of sales by being the
preferential buy.
