Someone interested in Innovation Management in the Automotive Industry ?

I just joined this exciting group, so let me introduce myself : I am a
PhD student at the Ecole Polytechnique in France. My research is
focused on innovation management within the automotive industry. I
carry out this research in partnership with european and asian OEM and
main suppliers.
Innovation Management within this industry is a very specific issue,
since the incumbent organizationnal inertia, and the physical inertia
of the product which prevents from importing directly theories and
practices from IT and semi-conductors industries.
Do someone have interest in that field ? Do you have any valuable
leeches on related issues ? I would be definetly interested in getting
in touch with people in this area, in a more relaxed ambiance than the
academic context.
