Hey, I am having issues getting the ball to stall at the inner elbow
from an inner arm roll and was wondering if y'all had any advice?

I can almost 100% of the time get the ball to the stall point, just
can't stop it there. Placing the ball there and stalling (or rolling
to the palm) isn't an issue.

Thanks for the help,

Eca

Some things you might want to try - Let me know if any of these help
1. When the ball is stalled at the elbow, move around. Move, Move,
Move, around
2. Try throwing the ball to the elbow stall
3. Try doing transfers to and from the elbow stall

Try setting it in your inner elbow. Walk around with it there. Get used to it. When it rolls off. Learn how to counter it. I guess practice makes perfect. Nobody is perfect. Good luck.

I've already been moving around while the ball is stalled. I can't
keep it there horribly long if I'm moving (about 1 minute) though I
can hold it there for a decent time if I'm still (about 5 minutes).

I have tried throwing the ball the the elbow stall, that hasn't worked
at all, I think it is because I have a stage ball. It just doesn't
have weight to it.

Do you mean like elbow > cradle transfers (and similar)?

Someone suggested to me moving the arm back at the same rate as the
ball to slow it. That's helping (though I haven't really found a good
way of moving backwards with the ball)

Yes bring it from your left cradle to the right inner elbow. Then
hold it for about 20 seconds roll it to your cradle or palm. Then
back to the other arm. Now if you reverse this and can not stop it at
the inner elbow try raising your arm. I had this issue for a LONG
time and still do. One thing that helped a lot was to raise my arm so
my arm was flat and not bent at the elbow.

A roll to the elbow is a precise throw and catch. You start at the
palm and end at the elbow stall. So another exercise is to throw it
from one to the other. At this point you don't have a good catch at
the elbow.

Another exercise that may help is to roll it slowly and try to stall
it in several places on the arm before the elbow.

Have fun, enjoy and smile as that helps break your frustrations. Take
breaks and try not to practice mistakes.
I have a great roll from the palm to the elbow and onto the ground ;)
