Happy hour update

Hi all,

So as far as happy hour for Saturday, every bar in that area is going to be packed with GW students. The best idea I've got is Tonic, which is about 2 blocks from the conference space, and if we call ahead we can try to get them to reserve the 3rd floor for us.

I will call tonight as soon as they open and see what they say about reserving the 3rd floor. Also -- I can't make it to tonight's meeting (work!) but if you guys need any other updates from me let me know.

Tonic will reserve two alcoves on the third floor for $50 from 5:15-7:15 PM.  The alcove areas hold about 20 people each but they don't expect anyone else to be up on the third floor during that time period.  Alternatively, we can lock up the entire third floor as private but there's a beverage/food minimum of around $1,000.   If there's consensus on that location I'll make the alcove reservation and we can upgrade if the budget permits and you guys want to do that.
