Can I remove the legend from the default view?

I don't want the Legend on the right expanded in the Default View when
my CommunityWalk map is first visited. I tried collapsing the Legend
and then doing "Save Default View" but that didn't save the Legend
visibility state.
Does anyone know if it's possible to prevent the Legend from being
expanded by default?
