Elder Boyd K. Packer – We spoke last week in the Course 13 and 15 about the Prophets & Apostles being "Special Witnesses of Christ" and how we looked forward to hearing from them in the upcoming Conference. 

“All that I have read and taught and learned, the one most precious and sacred truth that I have to offer is my special witness of Jesus Christ. He lives, I know He lives. I am His witness and of Him I can testify. He is our Savior, our Redeemer, of this I am certain, of this I bear witness.”

Elder Enrique R. Falabella – I’ll admit, usually when one of the members of the Seventy from other countries speaks especially with a strong accent, it's a good talk but not one that I would go back and listen to again and again. This one is and maybe the other ones should be. It was not only humorous but filled with great teachings and good examples to follow.

Elder Jeffrey R. Holland – I have shared many times with others that I know we shouldn't have favorite apostles, it is hard not to and that I look forward especially to listening to what he is going to speak about. Another amazing talk. So many great quotes from this talk that I could quote. Just listen to the whole thing.

I really loved the talk about parenting and how we treat our children! I love how it emphasized to turn our electronics off and put them down. I think that this applies to each and every one of us in our interactions with any other human being. We should learn that there is a time and place for technology and that our relationships with people are so important that there should be times of no distractions. Times when we just turn off the "world" and really listen to each other. For me this is how I feel loved- by getting your undivided attention. I love how the sister who spoke said that the things we say to our children (and each other) should be positive- not negative. They have a positive or negative affect on how they feel about themselves.  Great advice for us in our plugged in to everything but the people we say we love world.

 

Oh and if anyone is passing out money when you shake their hands- make sure to "Shake everyone's hand!!!"
