National CPR and AED Awareness Week Update and AED Scavenger Hunt contests
To highlight National CPR and AED Awareness Week, the iRescU Project is launching a special series of new challenges starting during this special week and continuing thru to September 1st. To kick this off iRescU is partnering with the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association and Denver Health rolling out a special AED Scavenger Hunt Contest Week June 2nd-9th, as a model social media driven city wide program to enhance regional AED databases!
iRescU is has been working closely with the Denver team for this special June 2nd to June 9th Denver Scavenger Hunt event - http://www.aedscavengerhunt.com. To coincide with this launch of the Denver AED Scavenger Hunt Contest, iRescU’s next Global AED Scavenger Hunt contest also begins this week and will continue thru to September 1st. The winners of this June –September iRescU Global contest will be announced at ECCU 2012, September 11-15 in Orlando, FL where the iRescU Project is to be presenting.
Thanks to all who submitted AED locations in the most recent iRescU Global AED Geolocation contest. It has been a great response, with AED locations submitted from across the USA and all over the world. Stand by for the June 15th announcement of the winners of the recent iRescU contest.
You can use this link to submit AED locations anytime - http://www.iRescU.info/AEDupload.htm . Its easy as 1, 2, 3 - 1. Find AED, 2. Take a Pic (optional) and 3. Submit location info (and optional Pic) There are 5 mandatory fields on the submission form: street and building location of the AED, city, state and country, all other fields including zip and the pic are optional. If anyone wants to win a prize, they will need to submit their email address though!
So do get those Denver AEDs submitted by this weekend, so as to be eligible for the Denver prizes!! Thank you for all the outstanding work that you do!!
