I am so glad to hear from you, PK, and at the same time saddened to read what you have said. Brought tears to my eyes. I could not even think of how I'd survive without Nan. This news from you is a tragedy. :(

Re: colorforth
I've been concentrating on the FlightGear project at sourceforge for over half of the last decade, and occasionally I revisit some work on colorforth when the mood strikes.

One of the colorforth projects I've been working on is a MIX simulator like the one that Donald Knuth designed/uses in "The Art of Computer Programming." That's still on going and I lack the jump words only, I think. Nearly finished.

I've extended "Chuckbot the Cursor" into "Chipwits", a training simulator for newb programmers that used to be famous on Apple.

Some of the work I've done has required new 'icons' like the playing card ranks and symbols for the couple card games I've written ( all based on a simplified  LISP simulator in colorforth). I actually use the '21' program often, and the Tetris program as well.

In the past since we've talked, I fixed and shared with the community a few fixes to previous programs to make them work in Arrayforth.

I would be delighted and honored to share the extension to Icons. I just need a few hours to prepare a presentation. Very soon. :) I was hoping that our newest member might let us know what version of colorForth he is using. But in lew of that I'll just go with what I know.

I am well, my dear friend.  Blessings apon you and yours,
Ray

so true .. wife is such an integral part of a man's existence .. and to see her suffer so much with a terminal disease hurt so much that all prayed for her deliverance from such pain and were rather happy that she passed away :-(

hope some other forthers use such nuggets of hard work

this would be a landmark work .. to update you, i have concieved AND created a new script for sanskrit .. based on pitman's shorthand .. using lines like - / \ |  and arcs .. easy to understand, remember and use .. these can easily be designed i  cf .. and impemented for use on ga144 chips .. will need your help to create a simple editor to write with these characters

this will enable recording of tons of folk songs and oral literature of sooo many cultures of india who do not yet have a script

will wait for that
