Hi,

I recently found Colletta whilst browsing on the internet for
properties in my parents' area. I think the e-Village is a wonderful
idea.

A little background... My parents live in Bardi. They took early
retirement and purchased a property to renovate. They learned the
language, employed local builders etc, learned the laws of Italy and
the Italian way of life, and have settled very nicely into a wonderful
place, being very much accepted by the local people in the area. I'm
very proud of my parents. They were very brave to make the huge leap
abroad.

My dream, which is becoming ever more acheivable, is to do something
similar to what they have done, especially escaping the UK bit. I'd
like to move nearby to my parents, but with less of the restoration
factor involved in the property, and be a little closer to the sea. I
can see this happening within the next 10 years or so.

This would be even more acheivable if I still had to work. I have
recently set up a business which is possible to be done via the
internet. So you can imagine my excitement when I found this e-
Village.

I am to be married in December and Paul and I are visiting Italy in
August. We hope to come and take a look at the village.

I'm not sure how many of you there are on this forum, but am
interested to hear from you with your views of the village and Italy
and any information you will be willing to share with us. Obviously we
would benefit greatly from learning the language in order to move to
Italy in general, and will do so, but any other thoughts and views are
most welcome.
