Managed Decline or Rejuvenation?: The Community of Christ at a Crossroads

Dear friends

Over the last few months I have been chatting with a range of
Community of Christ young adults who, like me, are frustrated with the
direction of the church. They long for a shift away from bureaucratic
stagnation to a dynamic, exciting movement that is able to speak
boldly about the social issues of our time.

In the last few weeks I have felt a need to say something about this
and start a discussion, so I have written an article for Sustainable
Good, a blog on social justice issues loosely affiliated with Outreach
International.

It would be great if you could post your reactions, thoughts, comments
and suggestions in the comment section of the blog posting, so we
could begin a discussion about these issues. There has already been a
lot of people contributing their thoughts.
