Hi All,

Apologies for the lack of contact - unfortunately I am snowed under and have not managed to get CD up again this Semester...still determined to though.

On another issue, one of my Springboard student teams is working on a project in relation to the Khan Academy. There seems to be some interest in this from CoderDojo (Sallins and Naas). Would anyone who knows about this/is involved/interested please contact Amy Moffat directly at the e-mail address above. She would really appreciate any help or input. This is all for a good cause so if you can take 10 mins it would be great.

When Coderdojo UCD resumes I'm available on Fridays 2 days out of 3.

I'll contact Amy directly.  I've done some work for Khan Academy in the early days and am VERY interested in making Coderdojo more of a blended learning environment - following Eugene's lead that we should be looking for activities that involve the kids between dojo sessions too.

I'll contact her too, to see what they are planning to do.

I have looked at the Kahn academy "intro to computer science" stuff before. Nice, but relies on a lot of "under the hood magic". I am not a big believer in "stuff happening by magic". Still, in Bray we are using http://www.crunchzilla.com/code-maven for the JS kids. Which has some magic involved too.  Although less.
