Hi Dojoers,

Bill has just informed me of an amazing opportunity to hold a Dojo in Leinster House on July 18th!
Limited to 30 kids with a strong mix of nationalities. See Bill's full message below.

Please can you let me know if you and your child are available. I need the child's name, age and nationality please. Also, to be fair we need to limit it to one child per household.
I shall forward this list to Bill who will make the final selection.

Mentors; will try and find out how many are need/can attend.

We have an amazing opportunity for CoderDojo in that we are being allowed to run a CoderDojo in Leinster house.

We have the room from 14:30 to 16:30 but must be very prompt so we should aim to be there early and leave early. There will be a short gathering after the CoderDojo in the cafe for refreshments.

No photos, no videos or promotion or PR  can happen inside the building so we need to do any photoshoots / vidoe on Kildare Street. It would be nice to have banner with our logo on it for that if anyone can arrange such.

There is wifi in the room which is theater style seating and it holds 50 people to say 30 kids can attend.

The tiered seating means  no power points so make sure laptops are charged up and do not bother bringing in powercords.

We want to have as many different counties inattendence as possible and it would be great to have flags/ colours / signs from the different counties!

Monday beforehand we need to submit all the names as a list which I will curate and Ciaran will be at the front gates on the day to welcome everyone.

Interviews in the room are  ok  without cameras.

It would be great if we can do a little awards ceremony awarding soem belts and badges.

It would be great if we coud get and awesome guest lecutrer perhaps soemone on game design?

I spoke Ciaran about making this an annual event and he is supportive so we can list Leinster House as regular (if only annual)  CoderDojo!

I am totally open for ideas on how to make this even more special. We want to make sure that the kids and the mentors get the focus and that any TD visitng gets to feel the energy of a real CoderDojo.

We also want people to be left feeling that its is possible for them to start their own CoderDojo.

So far only a few people have begged to be there on the day so there are at least 20 slots free. Please send me the names of who wants to attend.

Also can we keep the parent ratio fairly low and car pool as much as possible so that we have as many kids as possible there.
