Is there anyone who believes that
"
Recommendation ITU-T X.ccsec describes
the security framework for cloud computing"
as stated in the Summary? [Emphasis added.]
Isn't this an overreaching if not bizarre assertion
to make.

The remaining summary text - which largely
duplicates the scope - is more circumscribed.
This document is after all, little more than a modest
little exercise largely based on material gleaned from
the Focus Group reports, which in turn, gleaned
the information from the numerous industry
venues engaged in this work.

In fact, as an fun exercise, do a string search on
the word "challenge."  It appears 66 times!  However,
the term is never defined.  The nearest it gets to even
suggesting what a challenge might be is found in
Clause 6: "Security Challenges comprise difficulties
arising from the nature and operating environment."
Really?  :-)  So the ITU-T these days is focussed on
"difficulties?"

Who believes this material is anywhere close to
being mature?  Don't all respond at once.

cheers,
tony

Dear all,

Based on the Q8/17 July interim meeting discussion and editors further mail and call discussion, the attached document of X.ccsec is derived for submission to the forthcoming SG17 August meeting.

To review this latest version for X.ccsec, a call meeting will be held on July 31, from 15:00 to 16:00(Geneva time).
If you have any comments, pls join the call meeting or kindly send your comments to me before the meeting.

Best regards,
Huirong Tian
