NIST has recently formed a Big Data Working Group with the charter to develop a Big Data Technology Roadmap for industry and government. (Similar to their Cloud initiative) .There will be a kick-off meeting for the NIST Working Group on Wednesday, June 19 from 10:00 - 11:00 PDT (1:00 - 2:00 EDT). It should be of interest to members of SDOs and others interested in future Big Data taxonomies, reference architectures, and standardizations. See attachment for details.
