Hi All,
I hope you’re having a great Independence Day Weekend!
League play has concluded, and I’ve attached a recap of the league season and final standings to this email. I think everyone enjoyed the league format and getting to know one another a bit better.
With league play concluded, we’ll drop back to casual play - at least for a couple months. We’ll still play twice a month at Schnitz Ale Brewery on the 2nd and 4th Mondays.
Please give some thought to whether you’d like to have another league of some sort in the autumn - perhaps in a different or more abbreviated format.
Here’s some other Crokinole news…
- The Turtle Island singles tournament is coming up on Saturday August 2nd in Lewiston, NY (Near Niagara Falls). It’s an NCA Tier I tournament and has both competitive ($20 entry) and recreational ($15 entry) divisions. I’ll be playing in the competitive division and expect to take some lumps from some top NCA players. Last I checked, there are about 10-15 spots available in each division. If you’re interested in details contact Dale Henry at drh...@yahoo.com or 716-417-4257, or find him on FaceBook.

I plan. to leave my house in Middleburg Heights around 7:00 AM.
- You may have heard that the IX Center will be closing to be repurposed, but I checked with BrownCastle Games and they confirmed that the Cleveland Gaming Classic will still be held September 19-21, 2025. BrownCastle plans to hold a Crokinole tournament like they did last year - probably the afternoon of Saturday 9/20. Tournament entry is free for anyone who’s paid to enter the gaming show. BrownCastle may also need volunteer help teaching Crokinole in their area during the show. More details will follow as teh dates approach.
- Travis Keener of the Extra Pint Crokinole Club - Toledo is planning a singles tournament for Saturday November 1st. Details aren’t available yet, but stay tuned.
- The Clevlenad Crokinole Club Holiday Singles Classic will be held on Saturday December 13th. I’m looking to step our game up a bit this year. Watch for details here and at club nights.
