Hey, Gary, Danny, Radonna or anybody who was on the reunion committee.  I have a question for you.  I was talking to Kyle Shaw on Wednesday and I told him that Scrappy Holmes had died last year.  But now I can’t find any information on it.  I thought I had seen it in the obituary back when we were planning the reunion and some of us had a brief conversation (email) about it and the mile long list of accomplishments noted in his obituary.  Danny, I’m thinking you will definitely remember this. It was very impressive, but now I’m thinking it could have been someone else, like maybe a Senator or other famous attorney.  Neither Kyle nor I can find anything that says Scrappy has passed on.  I can’t find the obituary in the archives.  Any ideas who that famous Longview person could have been that I’m thinking of?

Just going by the sounds when you say the name, could it have been Peppy Blount?  I think he did pass.  You always saw him on TV with as part of the muscular dystrophy telethon.

Maybe it was Peppy Blount. Y’all are probably right. I have no idea why I thought it was Scrappy Holmes… Guess it’s my 49 year old brain doing its thing. 

 

It’s good to have conversation with y’all again.  I miss hearing from everyone.
