Dear Friends,
The date of the next meeting of Timaeus reading group will be on 22 Nov, Friday
morning, at the library of Philosophy Department, Soochow University (�F�d�j�ǥ~
��ˮհ�, �ĤG�Ь�j��8��), from 10.00 to 12.00.
Now we are going to read from 40d in Plato's Timaeus. Last time we have already
entered the passage on the generation of Time. The next passage may cause some
problem about Plato's attitude towards myth and gods. Then we will see how
living things come to be, and the problematic "Soul of the Universe." Usually,
every time, we would not go beyond than five Stephanus pages.
Anyone who feels interested, please come. Everyone is welcome.
