Dear All,

The next meeting of our reading group on Timaeus will be on 24th May, Friday
morning, at the Philosophy Department of Soochow University (Fdjǥ~ˮհ,
ĤGЬj8, the same room as before), from 10.00 to 12.00.

Last time, we tried to figure out Plato's interesting (and puzzling)
description of the cosmos in Plato's Timaeus 32-34, where he explains the four
natural elements in terms of mathematics. More mathematics will come in the
following pages.

This time we will continue to read Plato's Timaeus from 34c, and probably will
go over about five Stephanus pages.

All are welcome.

best,
Hua-kuei
