Oh by the way I looked for the Fu Jen Greek / Latin summer school program on line (Google search), but wasn't successful at all. I wonder if they've stopped it!? I'll keep looking and let you know if I find anything.

I wpuld also like to offer publically my appreciation to Ichiro for arranging this get-together.

 

I also would like to inform people we were not able to come that among many other interesting topics we discussed with Prof. Kasai, we were also told by him that he would be interested to work towards a summer school in Classics to be located in turns in Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Mainland China. In short talks we had among ourselves we seemed to think that something like that should take into account the summer school currently operated by Fu Jen University and ideally be organized alongside it and certainly not in competition to it.

 

Anyway, it seems to me that this is a more long-term project than the similarly revolving East Asia Classics Conference proposed last November ny Professor Anzai, and which was also very warmly accepted by Prof. Ahn; actually as Prof. Ahn has already expressed his intention to host a preparatory meeting in Seoul this coming autumn, it shouldn't be surprising if the first conference takes place in 2014.
