Dear Friends of European Classical Studies,
It is with great pleasure that I am writing to you to announce the European Classical Studies in Taiwan 2012 Workshop, to be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the DFLL Meeting Room (Old Library), NTU.
As we decided in last year's workshop, this year's workshop will focus in presenting advanced drafts of the papers that will be included in the book we decided to publish under the working title: "Arete and Logos: Permutations through Genres, Permutations through Time".
Until now we have received eight abstracts, which have been posted at our website (https://sites.google.com/site/classicstaiwan/home/activities-1/2012-13, and then follow the abstracts link).
If perusing the abstracts you feel that there is a paper you would like to contribute (either for publication or just to present in the workshop) please contact with me at vva...@ntu.edu.tw as soon as possible and we can still make the necessary arrangements so that you participate in the workshop.
Also, as I have already indicated in at least one participant, if you would like to present a paper, but for whatever reason you cannot physically be present on the day, we would be happy to make arrangements to have your paper read in the workshop, and to collect any comments that are made and forward them to you.
With warmest wishes,
Vassilis Vagios
As one more abstract has been received and posted at https://sites.google.com/site/classicstaiwan/home/activities-1/2012-13, it may be a good opportunity to encourage those who are still resisting the temptation to submit an abstract to yield to temptation without guilt: the Muses have promised will stand by them :)
