Dear All , some helpful member noted that license fees for old bikes are lot less

Yes its true only R 90 rand

Dept transport says below ( not clear) , whilst licensing dept Plumstead says must be older than 1978 ( 41 years) ?

Anyone needing a letter to test the system can contact me ………we need to test the system.

How Do I Apply for Special Classification?

 

1. Documents that need to be submitted include a completed ELF1 form and your ID. Vintage motor vehicles must have a letter from the vintage club if manufacturer does not exist and if the vehicle was manufactured before 1965.
2. You can apply at the appropriate registering authority.
3. If the application is approved the annual licence fees will be R90.
