Howard R. Jean, CEO & Founder of Black Meta Agency Corporation, has been appointed as a member of the Universities at Shady Grove (USG) Board of Advisors. The appointment comes after an enthusiastic recommendation from the USG Board and Mr. Jean's unwavering commitment to advancing education and workforce development.
The Universities at Shady Grove, a regional higher education center of the University System of Maryland (USM), has established itself as a model for delivering quality higher education to students in Montgomery County and the surrounding region. With nine of the University System's degree-granting institutions offering upper-level undergraduate and/or graduate degree programs, as well as advanced education and certificate programs, USG is bridging the gap between academia and industry.
"I am honored to be appointed to such an illustrious board to address the challenges our region faces regarding preparing students for a technology-focused workforce, including Web3, Fintech, Blockchain, electrical vehicle careers, and, most importantly, the biotechnology and biomedical industry," said Howard R. Jean. As a member of the USG Board of Advisors, Howard R. Jean will provide valuable advice and support to the campus leadership and the University System of Maryland. His extensive experience in workforce development and training across multiple industries, as well as his dedication to promoting diversity and inclusion, will contribute to the ongoing success and growth of USG.
