The School of Journalism and Mass Communications is
offering a unique pathway on “European Journalism” as part of its newly
launched, one-year, english-language Master's program in Digital Media,
Communication and Journalism.
The pathway ‘European Journalism’ focuses on the role of
news media and journalism in the emergence of a European public sphere.
Combining a cross-national comparative approach to European journalistic and
news cultures with a hands on coverage of current European issues, the pathway
explores the complexities and challenges regarding the reporting on Europe and
the European Union.
The School of Journalism and Mass Communications of
Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is one of the handful of Greek University
Schools, and the only one of its kind in Greece, to have earned reputable
positions in the international rankings regarding the category of Communication
and Media Studies:
- QS –World Unιversity Rankings, 2012: 179th position in
the world/48th in Europe
- QS –World Unversity Rankings, 2013: 146th position in
the world/50th in Europe
