Hi Mike,

I heard the Giant Cicada yesterday here behind our house (on 10 acres
on a creek) yesterday evening, and the night before.  Yesterday, it
was at 8:20 p.m.  The evening before, about the same time, though I
did not look at the clock like I did last night.  It made a couple of
calls yesterday evening, about 3 times.  I was raking leaves when I
heard it.  The night before, I only heard it once, but I heard it
above the air-conditioning unit inside, and went outside to see if I
could figure out what the noise was.

Had you not sent the call, and had Mary Dabney Wilson of our local Rio
Brazos Group posted it, I would not have know what I was hearing.  I
would have thought my neighbor was using a piece of equipment in his
garage.

What a call!!

Kurten community, off of Hwy 21 East.
