~ The Baptism of Moses ~
The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat.
- Hearts of Stone -
Touch not; taste not; handle not ...
All their works they do for to be seen of men.
Matthew 23:2,5, Colossians 2:21
~ * ~
But think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father:
for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up
children unto Abraham. This is the covenant that I will make with
them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their
hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and
iniquities will I remember no more.
A new heart will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you:
and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will
give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and
cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and
do them. And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers;
and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
Exodus 20:3-17
Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, the scripture
cannot be broken. However, go not after other gods to serve them, and
to worship them (either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of
heaven), and provoke me not to anger with the works of your hands; and
I will do you no hurt. For all the gods of the people are idols: but
the LORD made the heavens.
I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee. Thou shalt
know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.
Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from
all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image,
The residue thereof he maketh a god, even his graven image: he falleth
down unto it, and worshippeth it, and prayeth unto it, and saith,
Deliver me; for thou art my god.
I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous
forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the
LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers
upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that
hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and
keep my commandments.
Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us?
Take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink?
or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? for your heavenly Father knoweth
that ye have need of all these things. But ye seek ye first the
kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be
added unto you.
or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above,
From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven
suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
Thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his
shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian. For
every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments
rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.
No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life;
that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. Take
counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it
shall not stand: for God is with us.
Be not hasty to go out of his sight: stand not in an evil thing; for
he doeth whatsoever pleaseth him. For thou hast created all things,
and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak,
and not to please ourselves.
or that is in the earth beneath,
When ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say
unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand
thou there, or sit here under my footstool: Are ye not then partial in
yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye
believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye
build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest? For mine
house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
or that is in the water under the earth:
They worry about the promise of his coming, saying, Since the
fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the
beginning of the creation. They being ignorant of God's
righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness,
have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. And for
this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the
heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in
the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with
water, perished. For the law worketh wrath.
But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is
turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her
wallowing in the mire.
Open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it; for wide is the gate, and
broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction.
The heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall
melt with fervent heat. Even so, many waters cannot quench love,
neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance
of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.
Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with
lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the
first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
Whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our
learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might
have hope.
But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto
you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And
I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither
shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD
will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
I am the LORD thy God, from the land of Egypt, thy Redeemer, the Holy
One of Israel, thy Saviour (which have brought thee out of the land of
Egypt, out of the house of bondage); that divided the sea, whose waves
roared, which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way
that thou shouldest go.
For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that
formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it
not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is
none else.
Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages,
world without end. Amen. (Confirm the word with signs following
Amen.)
The law is not of faith. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching
for doctrines the commandments of men.
For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth
should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be
partaker of his hope. And he that doubteth is damned if he eat,
because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is
sin. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should
boast.
The LORD of hosts is his name.
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou
labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the
LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor
thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor
thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made
heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the
seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed
it.
Solomon, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast
made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to
put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be
there perpetually.
And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the
child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel
before he was conceived in the womb. There is no salvation in any
other than the name Jesus Christ of Nazareth: for there is none other
name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Wherever you find my name, you should find a blessing. Covet
earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent
way.
Bring forth the best robes, and put it on them; and put a ring on
their hands, and shoes on their feet. Baptize them in the name of the
Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount.
Father:
Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider
the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; Who was
faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all
his house.
God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his
Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
Son:
Consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, as Moses was
faithful in all his house.
Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own
blood, suffered without the gate. Neither by the blood of goats and
calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place,
having obtained eternal redemption for us.
Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the
which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of
God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
From Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first
begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto
him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And
hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be
glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
We are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ
was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we
also should walk in newness of life. Wherefore he saith, Awake thou
that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee
light.
Holy Ghost:
It is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. Most men
will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can
find?
Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are
deceitful.
A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit
concealeth the matter.
A wicked messenger falleth into mischief: but a faithful ambassador
is health.
A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter
lies.
A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste
to be rich shall not be innocent.
My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house. For as
the cold of snow in the time of harvest, so is a faithful messenger to
them that send him: for he refresheth the soul of his masters.
These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome
them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are
with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made
ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much.
I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that
which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure
house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever.
Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell
with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.
Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is
risen upon thee. For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of
the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
And Moses said, This is the thing which the Lord commanded that ye
should do: and the glory of the Lord shall appear unto you. Go unto
the altar, and offer thy sin offering, and thy burnt offering, and
make an atonement for thyself, and for the people: and offer the
offering of the people, and make an atonement for them; as the LORD
commanded.
Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three
witnesses. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be
established. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the
Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three
witnesses.
Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge; as a
threefold cord is not quickly broken. And where two or three are
gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. The
Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
In all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that
he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining
to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. Who was
faithful to him that appointed him, as Moses was faithful in all his
house. And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant,
for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after.
He foundest his heart faithful before thee, and madest a covenant
with him to give the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the
Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites,
to give it, I say, to his seed, and hast performed thy words; for thou
art righteous.
His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant:
thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over
many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God,
which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his
commandments to a thousand generations.
So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting
doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of
glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. The
LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also
live with him. So is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in
corruption; it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonour; it
is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: It
is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a
natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And as we have borne the
image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the
last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
Let us hold fast the faithful word as ye have been taught; that he
may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the
gainsayers (for he is faithful that promised). Wherefore let them
that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their
souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
Thus saith the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to
him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant
of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship,
because of the LORD that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and
he shall choose thee.
And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them,
because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they
are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things
teach and exhort. And the things that thou hast heard of me among
many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be
able to teach others also.
This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm
constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to
maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the
Lamb. These are the true sayings of God.
Your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power
of God. Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not
the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come
to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the
hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it,
they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat
upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth
judge and make war. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I
make all things new. These sayings are faithful and true: and the
Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants
the things which must shortly be done.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to
observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with
you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. And these signs
shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils;
they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if
they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay
hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
And the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have
I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name
might be declared throughout all the earth.
The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he
will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy
over thee with singing.
Blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me. For whoso
looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he
being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall
be blessed in his deed.
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in
mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I
will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing,
that there shall not be room enough to receive it. For I say unto
you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he
that cometh in the name of the Lord.
Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the
land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
Call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which
is in heaven. As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort
you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing
unto the Lord.
It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is
to search out a matter. And I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon
all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am the LORD.
And if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak;
then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto
thine adversaries.
And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God:
and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out
from under the burdens of the Egyptians. And I will make all my
goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD
before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will
shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.
This is the First Commandment.
Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy
soul,
and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength.
Mark 12:30
Thou shalt not kill.
To honour thy father and mother is the FIRST commandment with
promise!
He that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a
rewarder of them that diligently seek him. I have pardoned according
to thy word: But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled
with the glory of the LORD.
Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. But as
then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born
after the Spirit, even so it is now. Yea, for thy sake are we killed
all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.
They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that
whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. Ye lust,
and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight
and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
Thou shalt not commit adultery.
The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their
means; and my people love to have it so: as women that break wedlock.
Thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy
Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he
be called.
But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing. For so is the will of
God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of
foolish men.
Thou shalt not steal.
Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer
that breaketh the rock in pieces? Therefore, behold, I am against the
prophets, saith the LORD, every one that steal my words from his
neighbour, that use their tongues, and say, He saith, that prophesy
false dreams, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their
lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them:
therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,
saith the LORD.
When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my
words; for they are sweet. For I know the thoughts that I think
toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to
give you an expected end.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher
than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain
cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but
watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may
give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be
that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void,
but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in
the thing whereto I sent it.
For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the
mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and
all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the
thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come
up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an
everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and
things in earth, and things under the earth; every tongue should
confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this
rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his
brother's way.
Judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will
bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest
the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of
God.
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy
neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox,
nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have
knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.
This is the more excellent way:
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not
charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And
though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and
all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove
mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow
all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned,
and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity
vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself
unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no
evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth
all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all
things. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they
shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there
be knowledge, it shall vanish away. And now abideth faith, hope,
charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
Add to brotherly kindness charity. Follow after charity. Greet ye
one another with a kiss of charity. Have fervent charity among
yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Let all
your things be done with charity, which is the bond of perfectness; as
the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a
good conscience, and of faith unfeigned. Let the peace of God rule in
your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye
thankful; for where no law is, there is no transgression.
This is the Second Commandment.
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Matthew 22:39
Brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our
fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; And were
all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; And did all eat
the same spiritual meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink:
for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that
Rock was Christ.
Now where remission of these is,
there is no more offering for sin.
Hebrews 10:18
