I tried emailing Chronos but i dont get any reply. I just found this
group, couldnt figure why they stopped their forums, that really makes
me feel a bit nervous of their commitment.

Anyway. I have a really weird problem. I dunno if anyone here can help,
but is a last resort.

I can't move the folders within Soho Notes, anywhere. Imagine not being
able to move folders in the Finder, its like that. You create a folder,
or any folder, and you cant move it anywhere, or into anything. But you
can delete it, you can move notes, etc. So the only way to move a
folder, is really to
1) create a new folder in the destination i want
2) move all notes in the source folder into destination folder
3) delete source
its not overkill, but its not ELEGANT.

I've tried everythhing, reinstall, reinstall older versions, delete db,
recreate, db export, import, . The only thing that works, is to delete
the current database via Opendatabase, and install Soho Notes 5.6.0,
and let the program create a new empty database. In this new database i
can move folders like normal. But this version can restore the current
database format. So its pointless.

i'm really stuck, and looking at other options since Chronos looks to
go the way of the type-writer. currently i'm sniffing on DevonThink,
but it looks a bit overkill. and i dont seem to make it do the key
command stuff Soho notes does really well (quicknote is vital for me)..

Have you tried importing into a new database?

And have you tried Backup and Restore, to and from a file and .Mac?

Chronos has really blown it. It is a shame.

Interesting, I just downloaded Notes again to try out and I am having
the same problem you are having. I cannot move any of the folders I
created. I know StickyBrain did not have this problem.

With respect to email support, I emailed them a couple of days ago
about blogger beta support and have not heard anything.

Have you looked at Journler? A new beta will be out in a day or so I
think. It has a lot of the features of SOHO Notes.
