Chronos is offering a 50% off customer appreciation sale? Customer
appreciation in this case I think refers to current customers; I think
the most appreciation they could show all customers, especially
current, is to provide better tech support, online support forums,
better products, more honesty and less spin.

Here is most of the text of the message (ironically they must really
appreciate me as I got three copes ;-):

Dear Chronos Customer,

The Chronos Team would like to extend a sincere thank-you to all of
our valued customers. Turns out that we're planning a rare public sale
next week for the general public and we thought it would be nice to
offer something special to our existing customers in advance of that
sale. If there's a Chronos product that you've been thinking about
purchasing, you may now buy it for 50% off its regular retail price.
Simply enter the "thanks2007" coupon code after adding the product to
your shopping cart.

The restrictions on this special offer are simple: the 50% discount
only applies to a single product and this special sale only lasts
through August 19, 2007. Visit the online Chronos Store to place your
order. Thank you again for being a loyal Chronos customer!

Best Regards,

The Chronos Team

Couldn't agree more. I don't think they will ever recover from the
massive PR disaster they have suffered over the last
year and a half and you only hold a sale when business is slow !

I certainly have wasted far too much time on suffering the pain. I see
SOHO as the patient they dragged into
the cosmetic clinic, massively bodged his operation and shoved him out
of the door well before he was anywhere near
well ( telling everyone he was a fine new man) THEN relied on us to
continually give them ideas on how to fix him,
until they could no longer bare the criticism of how sick they had
made him so closed the advice lines.

I'm no fool and in spite of their appalling treatment of their
previous star I would accept things have moved on except
it's still the slowest application to load and is no-where near as
slick as he once was.

I'm keeping Address Book up to date and await to see if Nighthawk will
be our saviour then I'm off like a shot. If only
Apple had taken an interest in a Pro ( even paid for ) PIM things
would look a lot brighter but there is no evidence
of that coming with Leopard.

I still wish for an updated Claris/Palm Organizer type app, but I
don't expect I'll ever see it. I'm afraid NightHawk is going to be 50%
marketing, and looking for ways to nickle and dime us, and make us
dependent. And I don't like their delayed/last minute candor. We'll
see.
